Mary Lou Allison, CMA-C, Manager

As our Office Manager, Mary Lou keeps the practice functioning primarily behind the scenes.  You may not get a chance to meet Mary Lou during your appointment, but she will no doubt influence the flow of your care and the office as you make your visits. Mary Lou manages a variety of responsibilities for the doctors and oversees areas of the business office, including patient accounts, billing and insurance.   She works with a remarkable staff that strives to make the practices services the very best for our patients.

A Certified Medical Assistant, Mary Lou is a seasoned healthcare veteran, joining Dr. Prokos’ practice 30 years ago.  She is past National, Florida and Palm Beach County President of the American Association of Medical Assistants.  She currently serves as the Treasurer of the Florida Society of Medical Assistants and also functions as their Webmaster.  

Mary Lou is an excellent source of information and can answer any financial questions. “I have accumulated thousands of hours of continuing education classes to keep apprised of state and federal health care regulations as well as medical insurance requirements to assist our patients work through the complexities. I believe that helps to make our practice stand out above the others.”

Administrative Staff

Michelle:  Responsible for  referrals, copying records, files, charts, taking messages, making appointments and assisting the manager.

Tami :  Responsible for patient check out, scanning, phones, posting payments, data transfer, taking messages & making appointments.

Kathy:  Responsible for patient check in, scanning, phones, posting payments, data transfer, taking messages & making appointments.

Brenda:  Responsible for charge input.
 

Clinical Staff

Star (RMA) is our Clinical Supervisor and oversees the clinical staff and clinical services.

Violet (CMA) is our medical assistant.  The Medical Assistants are responsible for performing clinical procedures, scheduling tests, assisting the physicians and our patients, patient messages, prescription refills and calling patients with testing results. 

Dina, is Dr. Boss medical assistant.  The Medical Assistants are responsible for performing clinical procedures, scheduling tests, assisting the physicians and our patients, patient messages, prescription refills and calling patients with testing results. 

Shirley (NCMA) is our medical assistant and is responsible for our Laboratory testing and Phlebotomy.
